Born in April 1969 in Southern Germany , my personal background was far from an artist’s track:
With a diploma degree in electrical engineering my professional career started in the area of mobile communications and continued in healthcare systems until today.
Not owning any artistic disposition in guiding a brush or sculpture in wood or stone, photography initially opened ways to express my world views in a pictorial and progressively artistic way.
Using analogue and digital techniques initiated views sometimes far away from purely depicting reality – this can be close to using a brush on canvas – or completely different. Light painting – which photography finally is – offers an endless universe of eventualities.
Starting my autodidactic approach with 15 years of age with analogue slide film, I later continued in the digital domain all along the years until today - following my motto: “It’s not my profession – it’s my passion!”
Some great personal achievements include articles in nature magazines, use on postcards and calendars and success in national and international photo competitions.
And the passion never ends ...
